Join Wander Woman and Johnson County K-State Extension Office for this intro to fossils!
Have you ever found a fossil, but had no idea what type of creature it was? Have you ever wanted to look for fossils, but didn’t know where to start? Then you are in for a treat. Join the Johnson County K-State Research and Extension and the Kansas Geological Survey on the sandbars of the Kansas River at Riverfront Park ready to identify fossils you’ve found and give you pointers in what to look for when searching.
Sturdy hiking shoes and plenty of water are highly suggested. This event is free and pre-registration is required. If you cannot make this event please get in touch before the event date so that someone else can have this opportunity.
We will keep an eye on river levels for any adjustments on the day of the event.
