Birding for Beginners: Exploring the Prairie

The tall grass prairies of Kansas provide a diverse and rich habitat for all sorts of wildlife, including birds! Join us for a weekend excursion to The Konza Prairie to see the view the birds just like many of our pioneer ancestors did over 100 years ago.

We will gather Saturday night at the Airbnb where we will bond over birds and discuss the trails for the morning over a pizza dinner. We will get to bed promptly for an early rise. We will be sharing beds so be prepared to bunk up or bring a sleeping bag. We will awake before dawn for a light breakfast at the Airbnb so we can be on the trail just after dawn when the birds are most active and the humans, not so much! This will give us the best chances to see the most birds and other wildlife. A picnic lunch…
