Join us for a fun and interactive class that’s perfect for beginners, as instructor Chyann Franklin shows you how to get started canning!
Chyann will start things off by teaching you the basics to canning at home. Next, she’ll show you how to can two different recipes and the techniques to preparing your jars, your vegetables, how to pack your jars, types of canning and more.
Then, she’ll give you the green light to practice what you’ve learned and work on creating your recipes.
You’ll take home fabulous handmade (by YOU!) canned pickles and pepper jelly, plus the confidence and know-how to make more!
Be sure to bring a small box or tub to secure the jars when transporting home. You will also need to bring dish towels to wrap around the jars to keep them warm and secure!
Please make sure to wear closed to shoes and long pants. We will be in a professional commercial education kitchen and want everyone to be safe! Consider wearing your hair back as well.
